Mr. Yuen has been a solicitor and a partner of Messer. Yuen & Partners since 1997. Mr. Yuen previously served as non-executive director of Eggriculture Foods Limited (HKEX:8609) from August 15, 2018 to January 15, 2025. He also previously served as independent non-executive director of China Metro-Rural Holdings Limited, a Dutch Caribbean Securities exchange listed company (DCSX: CMRH) from September 1, 2010 to December 31, 2023. He has more than 25 years of experience in litigation and commercial legal work in Hong Kong. He received his Bachelor Degree in Commerce from University of Toronto in Canada in 1985, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from China University of Political Science and Law in 1999. Mr. Yuen is a member of the Law Society of Hong Kong the chairman of the Kowloon Chamber of Commerce.

Pradeep Kumar Shrestha

Engr. Enunina V. Mangio MBA, DR.B.A.

President, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Consul Enunina V. Mangio is the 3rd female president of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country’s most prominent business organization, since its inception in 1978. A licensed chemical engineer by profession, Mangio owns several large businesses including Construction, Services and Casual Dining chain of restaurants. She’s engaged in several businesses including Servcare International Corporation, an international holding company with subsidiaries in the US, Asia, and Dubai, where she sits as President.

She is also the Chairman of the Board of Mawell Chemical Corporation, a Triple-A Electrical & Mechanical Contractor, and Choosers Choice Food & Development Corporation—a chain of casual dining restaurants serving Korean and Japanese cuisines with a total of 50 branches all over the Philippines. She graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology, holding a double degree in mechanical and chemical engineering. Dennis Hu

Ruwan Amarasekara

Ruwan Amarasekara is a distinguished professional in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a career spanning over 3 decades with organisations such as Coca-Cola, EDS, IBM, SriLankan Airlines, Lanka Hospitals etc. in technology management, strategic leadership, ICT governance, sustainability, and transparency.

He has successfully implemented complex ICT systems such as ERP, sales force automation, airline and healthcare systems, logistics platforms etc. for multiple industry verticals in different regions in the world. He was the lead consultant that developed the specifications for key public sector systems that are being implemented such as Plastics Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system and e-Government Procurement (e-GP) System for Sri Lanka.

Over the years, he has been actively engaged in shaping Sri Lanka’s ICT landscape through his involvement in national initiatives, professional bodies, and industry development programs. Michael Lin

Since 2002, Michael Lin has joined the incubator. He managed the ITRI Incubation Center for 6 years and got the 2006 NBIA Randall Whaley Incubator of Year award. By the in-depth evaluation of the business plan and the consultation with new startups, he incubated over 150 new ventures. In 2008, he left ITRI and joined National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) as their incubator manager.

During his management of NCTU IIC, IIC ranked as one of the best incubators in Taiwan for three years. Michael carried out several government projects to facilitate startups receiving business resources for growth. Since 2014, he has been the CEO of the Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). He is CEO of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center as well. IAPS focuses on new venture creation, incubation and business acceleration in Taiwan and creates a comprehensive startup eco-system for young entrepreneurs. IAPS was ranked as 2016 Top 7 university accelerator in the world by UBI. Since 2012, IAPS has carried the accelerator program sponsored by several government projects. Anura Samarawickrema Lokuhetty

Mr. Anura Samarawickrema Lokuhetty is a respected figure in tourism and hospitality, currently serving as Chairman of the Asian Council on Tourism (CACCI) and an honorary member of The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL). Dr. Rohantha Athukorala

Vice Chairman, World Tourism Council

An outstanding business professional with experience in brand marketing and sales management with renowned multinationals such as Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, and Diversey Lever India. His extensive career includes building power brands like Dettol not only in Sri Lanka but in the South Asian region where he has made significant contributions to brand development and strategic marketing.

Dr. Athukorala’s exceptional achievements have been recognized with multiple accolades, including the prestigious ‘Marketing Achiever’ award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Business Achiever award from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Notably, he was the youngest and only individual to have given leadership to brand Sri Lanka as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and Sri Lanka Tourism. His expertise led to his appointment as the Commissioner General for the World Expo in Milan, where he showcased Sri Lanka on the premium global platform. Prof. Suranga de Silva

Professor in Tourism Economics, University of Colombo

Prof. de Silva is the first Professor in Tourism Economics in Sri Lanka and currently serves at the University of Colombo, where he also coordinates the Sustainable Tourism Unit of the Faculty of Arts. Holding advanced degrees including a PhD in Tourism Economics from Vrije University Amsterdam and an MPhil in Environmental Economics from Maastricht, he has authored more than 90 publications and serves as Chief Editor of both the Journal of Tourism Economics and Applied Research and the International Journal of Sustainable Tourism. Prof. de Silva is also Secretary-General of the Tourism and Hospitality Educators and Researchers Association of Asia (THERAA) and a Lead Trainer certified by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

With extensive national and international engagement, Prof. de Silva is a member of key government advisory bodies in Sri Lanka—including the high-level committee reviewing the Economic Transformation Act—and contributes to policy development in tourism, sustainability, and economic transformation. He has held several senior leadership positions such as Director General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management and has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Most Outstanding Tourism Education & Training Effort award in 2010 and the IFITT Best Talk Award in 2016. Peter Semone

Chairman, Pacific Asia Travel Association

After completing his studies at US East Coast Ivy Leagues (UPENN and Cornell), Peter Semone arrived in Asia and never returned to his native California. He is a recognized tourism expert and has been engaged in activities across the Pacific Asia region spanning industry, academia, and government. Since 2006, Peter successfully implemented multiple projects and consultancies funded by international development partners, including the Asian Development Bank, UN Tourism, The World Bank Group, Luxembourg Development Cooperation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He has been actively engaged with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) since the mid-1990’s, and was elected Chairman of the Board for two consecutive terms (2022-2026). Previously, Peter served as Chairman of the PATA Foundation and as a member of the PATA Executive Board and Board of Directors. Early in his career, he founded a destination management company and participated in several tourism start-ups in Indonesia. He is widely published in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to tourism marketing and destination human capital. Gyanendra Lal Pradhan

Dr. Sneha Malhotra

Dr. Sneha Malhotra is a chemical engineer and a Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policy professional currently serving as Associate Director – Energy Innovation and Technology at WRI India. As the former Chief Technology Officer at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, she contributed to several flagship initiatives—including the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the Electric Vehicle Mission, the Anusandhan National research Foundation (ANRF) and contributed to international dialogues, including the G20 Chief Science Adviser Roundtable and bilateral initiatives such as India–EU TTC and Indo–US iCET. As part of the Empowered Technology Group, she played a key role in evaluating and structuring high-impact Technology and innovation-driven cabinet notes of national importance.

Currently at WRI India, she leads strategic work on clean energy technologies with a sharp focus on green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), battery storage systems, marine decarbonization and critical minerals. Her work integrates policy, technology, and finance to drive low-carbon transitions in hard-to-abate sectors. Hiromi Aoki

Hiromi Aoki has a diverse background that includes roles at the U.S. Embassy Commercial Service as commercial assistant and Lehman Brothers as marketing officer after graduating from American high school and university. Amb. Benedicto V. Yujuico

Chairman, Advisory Board CACCI

Amb. Benedicto V. Yujuico was President of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) from 2010 to 2014. He has been the Chairman of the CACCI Advisory Board since November 2024 and is the Honorary Chairman and past President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

He is a founding partner and Chairman Emeritus of DDMP REIT Corp., Chairman of Istana Development Corporation, and Istana Social Development Foundation, which promotes literacy among underprivileged children by granting scholarships and constructing school buildings, particularly in isolated communities for the indigenous tribes in Zambales. He supports the educational needs of 1,500 children yearly. He is also the founder and Chairman of Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc., which gives full scholarship to the children of Philippine National Police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Manohari Gunawardhena

Manohari Gunawardhena is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist attached to the South Asia Regional Department of ADB. In her present capacity she originates loan and technical assistance projects in the financial sector and related operations on private sector development, in member countries in the region. She is a commercial and development banker with 25 years’ experience gained at Standard Charted Bank in Colombo, with training in Singapore and Dubai. She held positions of responsibility in treasury, lending, investment banking, and risk management. Prior to her present position, she served in ADB's Private Sector Operations Division as an Investment Specialist and managed portfolios in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Cambodia, Indonesia, Mongolia, China, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Kelaniya, Master of Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a master’s degree in financial economics from the University of Colombo Sri Lanka. She has completed a Harvard University online course on Financial Technology.

Mr. Lennon Tan is the Group Chairman of ADERA Global. Lennon started his career as an engineer in the Petrochemical industry before spending 10 years with the American Multinational 3M. In 2001, he decided to pursue his dream of being an entrepreneur. After taking over a small smart card manufacturing business in China, he tapped on technology and innovation to transform the manufacturing outfit into the top 10 global smart card producers in the world, and thereafter transforming the company’s capabilities to lead in fields of artificial intelligence, biometric authentication, automation, fintech and data analytics, supporting major sectors ranging from banks, insurance, government, healthcare, telecommunications and transport worldwide. Selima Ahmad

Selima Ahmad is the former Director of Sonali Bank, Janata Bank, Bangladesh Development Bank and SME Foundation. She was a part-time faculty member of Dhaka University and AIUB. In her guidance BWCCI has won the 7th CACCI Local Chamber Award in Big Chamber Category in 2016. She has been recognized by many awards including Oslo Business for Peace Award 2014, Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award 2013, Islamic Development Bank Prize 2012, Priyadarshini Award 2012, TIAW World of Difference Award 2010 and TIAW Lifetime Achievement Award 2014-2015. Sarath Chandrasena

Sri Lanka Country Manager, Nordic Folkecentre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development

Mr. Chandrasena brings nearly 35 years of expertise in industrial electronics and advanced thermal systems, with specialization in energy optimization and hybrid renewable energy technologies spanning off-grid, grid-tie, and smart grid configurations. His technical work includes system integration for high-efficiency power generation, demand-side management, and storage solutions.

He previously served as the UNIDO National Expert for Hybrid Renewable Energy Technologies in Sri Lanka, contributing to national programs on decentralized generation and rural economic development (2005–2012).

Lakshman Abeysekera

Lakshman Abeysekera has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), functioning under the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development. He is a Senior Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, AAT Sri Lanka, and CMA Sri Lanka. Hui-Fei Hsu

Secretary-General, Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

Ms. Hui-Fei Hsu, the Secretary-General of the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), graduated with her master's degree in Horticulture from the National Taiwan University. She had overseen agricultural extension and farmers' association services in the Taipei City Government from September 1999 to September 2006. Her work at the Agriculture and Food Agency from September 2006 to March 2025 included public stock management, the planning and execution of horticultural crop, miscellaneous grain, and special crop production and marketing, and regional agriculture development. Ms. Hsu has been transferred to TARI in March 2025 as the Secretary-General for supervising the administrative affairs of the institute.

Dr. Keerthi M. Mohotti

National Specialist, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Sri Lanka

Dr. Keerthi Mohotti is a Fellow and Chartered Biologist of the Institute of Biology, Sri Lanka, with a PhD from the University of Reading, UK, and a BSc from the University of Peradeniya. A nematologist and plant protection specialist, Dr. [Last Name] has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications on sustainable crop management, organic agriculture, plant protection, and environmental medicine.

He has served as Director and CEO of the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka and is a Visiting Lecturer at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, and the University of Kelaniya.

Currently, he works as a freelance technical consultant in agriculture, food and beverage, program management, monitoring and evaluation, policy advocacy, and impact appraisal of R&D, environmental, and socio-economic projects.

Dr. Mohotti also serves as National Specialist on Mainstreaming Biodiversity into Agrobiodiversity for the FAO in Sri Lanka, Sustainable Plantation Development Expert for the UNDP GEF Cycle 7 Project, and Technical Consultant to the Colombo Tea Traders Association and Tea Exporters Association.

Dr. Ravi A. Fernando

Dr. Palitha Kohona

Former Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China

Dr. Palitha Kohona is a distinguished Sri Lankan diplomat who currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Sri Lanka International Buddhist Academy (SIBA) and as Advisor on International Affairs to the ACBC and the Malalasekara Foundation. Gamini Seneviratne

Senior Research Professor, Microbial Biotechnology National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka

Dr. Seneviratne obtained his BSc and Ph.D. from University of Peradeniya in 1984 and 1993, respectively. He has been serving as research professor from 2009 to 2015 at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies, and then as senior research professor since 2015. At present, he is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka. He was former Editor to the Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment (Elsevier), and Ceylon Journal of Science. He introduced beneficial microbial biofilm concept to biofertilizers, being the inventor of Biofilm biofertilizers.

Prof. Wijendra Bandara

Chairman, Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority

Professor Wijendra Jayalath Bandara is an accomplished Sri Lankan physicist and academic specializing in energy materials, with over two decades of experience in teaching and research and currently serves as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority and a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Peradeniya and the Director of the Solar Energy Center at University of Peradeniya.

He earned his Ph.D. through a joint program between the University of Peradeniya and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, focusing on polymer electrolytes for solar cells, and now his research centers on dye-sensitized solar cells, solid-state electrolytes, supercapacitors, Photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation and advanced energy materials.

He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with numerous awards for research and teaching excellence, including the Sri Lanka President’s Research Awards nine times and multiple Excellence in Research Awards from the University of Peradeniya.

Professor Bandara is ranked by the AD Scientific Index as the second-best scientist in Sri Lanka in Energy Engineering and also serves as an editorial board member for several journals.

His leadership in sustainable energy research is exemplified by his directorship of the Solar Energy Research Centre at the University of Peradeniya.

Ravi Jayawardena

Group Chief Executive Officer, Maliban Group

Ravi Jayawardena is the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Maliban Group, which includes Maliban Biscuits, Maliban Milk, Maliban Agro, and Little Lion.
